This past December I participated in a world-wide movement called “Dressember” that’s goal is to use fashion (wearing a dress) to raise awareness and money to fight human trafficking and modern day slavery. I was blown again by the generous response of so many people I know when our team raised over $21,000 – enough to fund 3 recuse missions.
My heart was set on fire to help those who don’t have a voice and my prayer was – “God – how do I help push back this darkness – beyond December?” I believe He answered that prayer by introducing me to Trades of Hope.
The mission of Trades of Hope to empower women out of poverty, trafficking and abuse again through fashion. By purchasing the products that these 28 artisan groups make from around the world we are giving them the sustainable income that helps them provide for their families. When I heard about this company’s mission, I had to be a part of it, so I decided to join their movement of changing the world, one bracelet at time.
