Need a tasty idea for this year’s Super Bowl party?
Here’s a great recipe for Sloppy Joes that couldn’t possibly be any easier! You can even whip these up ahead of time and throw them in your Crock-Pot so you’re relaxed and ready to enjoy the game!
Serve them with our Homemade Dinner Rolls (you can make them a little larger if you like) and you’ve got a winning combination that screams, “I love football”…or at least, “I love eating real food while I’m pretending to watch football” :).
- ½ T coconut oil
- 4 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 jar of Daddy Sam’s Bar-B-Que Sawce (available at Willy Co-op) or 1 jar of Trader Joe's Bold & Smoky Kansas City Style Barbecue Sauce
- Melt coconut oil in an extra large sauté pan or stock pot. Add the ground beef and onion and cook until the meat is browned and the onions are translucent.
- Drain fat from beef.
- Add the entire jar of whichever barbecue sauce you're using to the beef and stir well.
- Cook on low or warm for ½ hour, stirring occasionally. You can also cook this ahead of time and then place in a Crock-Pot until you are ready to serve!
