Some may call me a skeptic, a pessimist, or even a cynic. All of you can call me Tracie’s Little Brother.
I always thought I was eating “healthy.” I spent the first few years after graduating from college with a fluctuating weight. I ate organic foods, cut calories, and spend time working out, but I never was able to drop any of the unwanted extra baggage.
I spent years making fun of my sister about how she ate and how gross I thought her food was. Little did I know all of jokes would come back to haunt me. Shortly after I accepted a job in Madison and was putting on weight again, Tracie asked me to try her eight week Change Your Plate. Change Your Life class. I was very skeptical because I didn’t think I needed her help and frankly was kind of embarrassed to be taking a class from my sister.
Tracie was able to teach me and the rest of the class how to balance fats, carbs, and proteins to help stop food cravings and start to feel better. I also came away with an understanding of what I am putting into my body and how it affected me.
Over the eight weeks, I lost 15 pounds, without working out once during that time. Not only did I drop the weight but more importantly I was feeling so much better. I had more energy and was not having cravings for my favorite junk food. I even started cooking and going to the farmer’s market on the weekends. I have to say the Sun Dried Tomato Meatloaf recipe and Chili recipes are pretty amazing.
In the end, I couldn’t be happier with the results I was able to obtain through the program. The biggest thing is committing to Tracie’s advice. If I can listen to my big sister and have great results, than anyone can!
